1 (1 lb.) bag M&M's plain candies
2 1/2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. butter, softened
3/4 c. sugar
3/4 c. brown sugar, packed
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. chopped nuts
Preparation

Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
Grease cookie sheet.
Coarsely chop 1 1/2 cups M&M's; reserve remaining whole candies for decorations. Stir together the flour, baking soda and salt.
In a large bowl, cream the butter and sugars.
Add eggs and vanilla and beat until light and fluffy.
Add dry ingredients.
Add candy and nuts.
Drop spoonfuls of batter on cookie sheet.
Bake 6 to 7 minutes.
Remove from oven and top with remaining candies.
Return to oven.
Bake 3 to 5 minutes longer.
