Spicy Black Bean Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. black beans
    4 slices bacon, minced
    2 cloves garlic, minced
    1 or 2 fresh chili peppers, stemmed, seeded and chopped
    6 c. chicken stock
    2 leeks, cleaned and finely diced
    2 carrots, finely diced
    1 large onion, finely chopped
    2 Tbsp. butter
    2 Tbsp. oil
    salt and pepper to taste
    1 red pepper, finely diced
    2 Tbsp. grated orange zest
Preparation
    Wash the beans in cold running water.
    Place the washed beans in a large bowl and cover with 8 cups of cold water.
    Allow to soak for 8 to 12 hours or overnight.
    Drain when fully soaked.
