Tamale Casserole - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/2 lb. lean ground beef or turkey
1 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
1 to 1 1/2 tsp. seasoned salt
1 1/2 tsp. chili powder
1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
3/4 c. water
1 (16 oz.) can kidney beans
1 (11 oz.) can corn, drained
1 (8 oz.) pkg. corn muffin mix
1 egg
1 1/3 c. milk
12 oz. pasteurized process cheese spread, cubed
Preparation

Heat oven to 450\u00b0.
Grease and flour a 2 or 3-quart baking dish.
Lightly brown meat; drain.
Add garlic powder, seasoned salt, chili powder and tomato paste; mix well.
Stir in water. Gently fold in beans and corn.
Simmer, uncovered, for 10 minutes, stirring often.
