Applesauce Fruit Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

2 c. flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. cloves
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1 c. walnuts
1 c. raisins
1/2 c. cherries
1/2 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 1/2 c. applesauce

Preparation

Sift first 4 ingredients together.
Combine walnuts, raisins and cherries.
Beat until light the shortening, sugar and eggs. Add applesauce.
Blend well.
Add sifted dry ingredients, mixing well.
Stir in cherries, nuts and raisins.
Put in greased angel food cake pan and bake at 325\u00b0 for 1 hour.
