Christmas Nut Thins - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. butter or margarine
    1 c. sugar
    1 1/2 c. flour
    2 eggs
    1 c. chopped nuts
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Blend sugar and butter together.
    Add well beaten eggs.
    Sift in flour and salt.
    Add nuts; add vanilla and mix until smooth and light.
    Drop onto greased baking sheet, spaced well apart.
    Place half a pecan in center of each cookie.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 about 10 minutes.
