Broiled Coconut Icing - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 Tbsp. shortening
    4 Tbsp. butter
    4 Tbsp. milk
    2 c. shredded coconut
    1 c. brown sugar, firmly packed
Preparation
    Combine shortening, butter, sugar and milk in a saucepan. Bring to a boil.
    Remove from heat and add coconut.
    Pour on warm cake and spread evenly.
    Place cake under broiler, not too close, and broil slowly until golden brown.
    Cut in squares and serve hot or cold.
