Lemon Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. water
    3 c. sugar (scant)
    1 Tbsp. butter
    6 Tbsp. real lemon juice
    pinch of salt
    4 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1 c. water
    6 egg yolks
Preparation
    Bring water, sugar, butter, real lemon juice and pinch of salt to a boil in a heavy kettle or double boiler.
    Once it cooks, add cornstarch, water and egg yolks.
    Mix together.
    Cook until thick like honey.
    Cool and pour into baked pie shell.
    Beat egg whites in stiff peaks.
    Spread on top and brown.
    Makes 2 pies.
