Cranberry Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    12 oz. bag or 3 + c. cranberries
    2 1/4 c. water
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    6 oz. cherry jello
    20 oz. crushed pineapple
    2 oranges, cut up
    2 apples, cut up
    nuts (optional)
Preparation
    Combine cranberries, water and sugar and cook until berries pop.
    Stir in jello, then chill.
    Add remaining ingredients when mixture begins to thicken.
