Red Velvet Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. shortening
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    2 eggs
    2 oz. red food coloring
    3 tsp. Nestle Quik
    2 1/2 c. cake flour
    1 scant tsp. salt
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 tsp. soda
    1 c. buttermilk
    1 Tbsp. vinegar
    1 tsp. butter flavoring, if desired
Preparation
    Cream shortening, sugar and eggs.
    Add food coloring and blend.
    Dissolve soda in the buttermilk; add vanilla.
    Blend alternately with flour.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 until done.
