Stuffed Green Peppers - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 medium-sized green peppers
    1 lb. pork sausage
    3/4 c. chopped onion
    3 c. crumbled cornbread
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/8 tsp. pepper
    1/2 tsp. oregano
    1/2 c. milk
Preparation
    Wash peppers; cut off tops.
    Cook in boiling salted water about 6 minutes and drain.
    Cook sausage; pour off drippings.
    Add onion, cooking until transparent.
    Place mixture in a bowl; add remaining ingredients.
    Stir lightly until blended.
    Fill peppers with mixture.
    Stand peppers up in shallow baking dish; cover bottom of dish with 1/4-inch hot water.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 15 to 20 minutes.
