King Ranch Chicken - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 large fryers, cut up
    1 medium onion, chopped
    1 medium bell pepper, chopped
    2 Tbsp. butter
    1/2 tsp. garlic salt
    1 (10 1/2 oz.) can cream of chicken soup
    1 (10 1/2 oz.) can cream of mushroom soup
    1 lb. can stewed tomatoes
    1 1/2 tsp. chili powder
    1/2 lb. Cheddar cheese, shredded
    a few drops of Tabasco
    12 corn tortillas
Preparation
    Boil chicken in salted water until tender.
    Debone and cut into 1-inch pieces.
    Soak tortillas in reserved chicken broth for 15 minutes.
    Layer tortillas in bottom of 3-quart casserole.
    Add chicken as second layer.
