Aunt Alice'S Buttermilk Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. Crisco
    6 eggs
    1/4 tsp. soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. almond extract
    3 c. sugar
    1 c. buttermilk
    3 c. flour
    1/4 tsp. lemon extract
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Beat egg whites stiff to fold in last.
    Cream Crisco with half the sugar, then add egg yolks.
    Add the rest of sugar.
    Add milk with soda in it and flour with salt in it.
    Add alternately 1/3 of milk and 1/3 flour at a time.
    Fold in egg whites, stiffly beaten, last.
    Bake in ungreased tube pan for 1 1/2 hours or until done. Bake at 325\u00b0.
