Baked Rice - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 lb. butter
    1 big onion, chopped fine
    2 c. rice
    2 cans beef consomme
    1/2 lb. sharp cheese, grated
    2 cans small mushrooms with liquid
    1 c. brown toasted almonds
Preparation
    Saute onion in butter.
    Add uncooked rice and simmer 5 minutes.
    Pour all ingredients into casserole except almonds. Cover; bake 1 hour at 325\u00b0.
    Stir in almonds when done.
    Serves 8.
