Pear Honey - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    5 lb. Kieffer pears
    10 c. sugar
    1 (8 1/2 oz.) can crushed pineapple (2 c.)
Preparation
    Peel pears; remove hard core and discard.
    Put pears through food grinder, using coarse blade.
    Combine fruit, sugar and pineapple; cook until mixture is thick and pears are clear.
    Pour into hot jars and seal.
    Makes 7 pints.
