Cherry Chocolate Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. flour
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. butter
    1 c. sugar
    1 egg
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 sq. unsweetened chocolate, melted
    1 c. thick sour milk
    1 (8 oz.) bottle maraschino cherries and juice (1/3 c. juice and 3/4 c. sliced cherries)
    1/2 c. broken walnuts
Preparation
    Cream butter, gradually adding sugar.
    Cream well.
    Add egg and cream well.
    Add vanilla and melted chocolate.
    Blend.
    Turn electric mixer to low speed.
    Alternately add sifted dry ingredients, milk and cherry juice.
    Fold in cherries and nuts. Bake in a greased 9 x 13 x 2-inch pan at 350\u00b0 about 40 minutes. Cool and frost.
