Prune Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. salad oil
    1 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 c. flour
    1 c. buttermilk
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2 medium eggs
    1 c. chopped prunes (canned ones or cooked dry ones)
    1 c. nut meats, chopped (English walnuts or pecans)
Preparation
    Mix first 9 ingredients well in a mixer.
    Have ready the prunes and nuts.
    Fold into batter (do not beat).
    Bake in sheet pan at 350\u00b0 for 35 to 45 minutes; in angel food pan 1 hour.
    When cake is ready to remove from oven, have sauce ready.
