White Fruit Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 lb. candied cherries (1/2 red, 1/2 green)
1 lb. candied pineapple (1/2 red, 1/2 green)
4 c. chopped pecans
1/2 lb. butter
5 eggs
1 c. sugar
1 1/3 c. all-purpose flour
1/4 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
5/8 oz. vanilla
5/8 oz. lemon extract
Preparation

Cream the butter and sugar.
Add eggs, one at a time.
Sift 1/3 cup of the flour over the fruit and nuts and let stand while mixing batter. Sift remaining flour and baking powder and add to mixture, using mixer to this point.
Add fruit and nuts which have been floured.
Add flavorings.
Start in cold oven in tube pan, greased and floured, at 300\u00b0 for 1/2 hour. Reduce temperature to 250\u00b0 for 2 1/2 hours.
Place on rack to cool.
