Brown Rice And Black Beans - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 Tbsp. oil
    1 medium onion
    1 (14 oz.) canned tomatoes with juice
    1 (16 oz.) can black beans with juice
    1 tsp. oregano leaves
    1/2 tsp. garlic powder or 1 clove garlic
    1 1/2 c. instant brown rice
Preparation
    Saute oil and onion in large pan or skillet.
    Add tomatoes, beans, oregano and garlic.
    Bring to boil and stir in rice.
    Return to boil, then turn to simmer and cover for at least 5 minutes. Take off heat and let stand for a few minutes.
    (I usually simmer longer and let stand longer.)
