Meatball Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. ground beef
    1 onion, chopped
    1 1/2 qt. water
    1 (16 oz.) can tomatoes
    3 potatoes, cubed
    2 carrots, sliced
    2 stalks celery, sliced
    3 sprigs fresh parsley, minced or 2 Tbsp. dried
    1/2 c. uncooked barley
    2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. crushed thyme or basil
    1/4 tsp. garlic powder
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1 bay leaf
    1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
    1 beef bouillon cube
Preparation
    Shape beef into tiny meatballs. Brown meatballs and onions in a large saucepan or in shallow pan in 400\u00b0 oven.
    Drain off excess fat.
    Add remaining ingredients. Bring to boiling. Simmer 1 1/2 hours or until vegetables are tender.
    Yields 8 servings.
