Horehound Candy - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 qt. boiling water
    1 qt. loosely packed horehound (leaves and stems)
    4 c. granulated sugar
    1 1/2 c. dark corn syrup
    1 Tbsp. butter
Preparation
    Pour boiling water over horehound.
    Steep for 5 minutes.
    Tea should be dark and bitter, but not black.
    Strain.
