Stewed Shrimp - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 white potatoes, cubed or diced
    1 large onion, diced
    1/4 c. liquid oil
    2 c. water
    1 1/2 lb. shrimp, cleaned and deveined
    salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
    Add potatoes and onion to oil and water in a 2 to 3-quart boiler or saucepan.
    Cook on medium heat for 20 minutes.
    Add shrimp; salt and pepper.
    Cook another 15 minutes, making sure potatoes are soft.
    Mixture should be thick, not soupy.
