Scones - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. flour
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    4 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
    2/3 c. butter
    1 1/3 c. half and half
    1 large egg
    1/4 c. golden raisins (optional)
Preparation
    Heat oven to 425\u00b0.
    Grease large baking sheet.
    Combine flour, sugar, baking powder, salt and cream of tartar; blend with pastry cutter.
    Beat half and half and egg; reserve 2 tablespoons.
    Add to dry ingredients.
    Form soft dough.
    Knead 4 or 6 times and divide in half.
    Roll half into 8-inch round and cut into 4 wedges.
    Do second half.
    Pierce tops of scones with fork.
    Brush with reserved egg mix.
    Bake 15 to 18 minutes.
