Bessie Edwards Pound Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 sticks butter
    3 c. sugar
    3 1/2 c. plain cake flour
    5 eggs
    1 c. milk
    1 tsp. vanilla extract
    1 c. shortening
Preparation
    Have ingredients at room temperature.
    Cream sugar, shortening and butter.
    Add 1 egg at a time.
    Add vanilla flavoring then milk and flour.
    Bake at 300\u00b0 for 1 1/2 hours.
