Icebox Slaw - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 lb. cabbage
2 green peppers
1 (4 oz.) jar pimento
2 medium size onions
1 Tbsp. salt
2 Tbsp. mustard seed
2 c. vinegar
2 c. water
2 c. sugar
Preparation
-
Grate or chop first 4 ingredients.
Add salt and mustard seed. Mix well.
Heat vinegar, water and sugar until it comes to a boil and sugar is dissolved.
Cool and pour over cabbage mixture.
Let stand 24 hours in refrigerator, then enjoy.
Will keep a month.
