Grandma Talton'S Hush Puppies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. plain white cornmeal
    1 c. self-rising flour
    1 tsp. sugar
    buttermilk (enough to make sticky)
Preparation
    Put
    into sifter and sift all together, then stir extra with spoon.
    Add
    enough buttermilk to coat but make a stiff, sticky mixture.
    Put
    in a preheated deep fryer by spoonfuls. Good with fish or any seafood.
