Cherry Cheesecake Dessert - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. butter or margarine
    1/4 tsp. butter flavoring
    2 pkg. graham crackers
    8 oz. cream cheese
    1 c. powdered sugar
    1 c. whipped topping
    21 oz. cherry pie filling
Preparation
    Melt butter.
    Stir in butter flavoring.
    Crush graham crackers into fine crumbs.
    Mix crumbs with melted butter.
    Press into an 8 x 8-inch pan.
    Mix softened (room temperature) cream cheese and powdered sugar.
    Fold in whipped topping.
    Spread over graham cracker layer.
    Top with cherry pie filling 1 hour before serving. Refrigerate to chill pie filling.
