Broccoli Cheese Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen chopped broccoli
    1 medium onion, finely chopped
    1 can cream of chicken soup (10 3/4 oz.)
    1 c. rich milk
    1 to 1 1/2 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
    1/8 tsp. ground red pepper
    1/4 c. chopped peanuts (optional)
Preparation
    In 2-quart saucepan, bring 1/2 cup water to boiling.
    Add broccoli and onion.
    Cover and simmer 5 minutes or until tender. Do not drain.
    Stir in soup, milk, cheese and pepper.
    Cook and stir until heated through.
    Top each serving with chopped peanuts and shredded cheese.
    Makes 4 to 6 servings.
