Corn Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. self-rising meal
1/2 c. self-rising flour
1 egg
1/2 c. buttermilk
1/2 c. water
1 tsp. shortening
Preparation

Mix meal, flour, egg, buttermilk and water.
Have skillet hot with 1 teaspoon shortening added.
Pour bread mixture in skillet and bake for about 10 minutes on bottom rack and about 10 minutes on top rack at 450\u00b0, then broil to brown top.
