Onion Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 heaping c. thinly sliced onions
    1 can cream of mushroom soup
    1 1/2 c. corn flakes
    1/2 c. melted butter
    1 pkg. blanched almonds
Preparation
    Cook onions in salted water until tender.
    Drain.
    Layer half of onions in buttered dish (I use an 8 x 10-inch casserole), followed by half of soup and almonds.
    Repeat.
    Mix melted butter and corn flakes.
    Sprinkle on top.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 about 45 minutes. Serves 6 to 8.
