Caramelized Onion And Cheese Bites - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 large onion, halved and thinly sliced
    1 Tbsp. olive oil
    1/3 c. coarsely chopped walnuts
    1 tsp. sugar
    1 Tbsp. Dijon style mustard
    16 (1/4-inch) thick slices Baguette French bread
    1/2 c. Parmesan or Romano cheese
Preparation
    In a large skillet, cook the onion in hot oil about 3 minutes or just until tender.
    Add the walnuts and the sugar.
    Continue to cook and stir about 5 minutes more or until the onion is slightly caramelized and walnuts are lightly toasted.
    Stir in the mustard.
