Mexican Hamburgers - cooking recipe

2 2/3 to 3 lb. hamburger meat
1 small can chopped green chilies
1/2 jar picante sauce (choose mild or hot to your choice)
8 oz. block Monterey Jack cheese
salt and pepper
Preparation

Divide hamburger meat into 16 thin patties.
Mix chilies and picante together to make sauce.
Cut cheese into thin slices and spread approximately 1 tablespoon of sauce mix (enough to cover area) on a meat patty staying approximately 1/2-inch from the edges.
Cover the sauce with one layer of cheese slices.
Top with second patty and crimp edges together to seal.
Continue process until all 8 burgers are assembled.\tSalt and pepper to taste and cook on outdoor grill.
