Butterscotch Slices - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. flour
    1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. butter
    2/3 c. brown sugar
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
    1 egg
Preparation
    Sift flour, measure and sift again with baking powder and salt.
    Cream butter.
    Gradually beat in sugar.
    Beat until fluffy. Add the vanilla and the egg.
    Beat well.
    Sift in flour mixture. Shape into rolls (1 1/2 inch).
    Wrap in wax paper and refrigerate for 2 hours.
    With sharp knife, cut into 1/8-inch slices; place on cookie sheet a ways apart.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 for 7 minutes.
    Yields 54 cookies.
