Brazil Nut Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. sifted plain flour
    1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    3 c. shelled Brazil nuts
    2 pkg. pitted dates, about 1 lb. cut up
    1 c. well drained maraschino cherries, cut in half
    3/4 c. granulated sugar
    3 eggs
    1 tsp. vanilla extract
    1 tsp. water
Preparation
    Start heating oven to 300\u00b0.
    Grease, then line with waxed paper a 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan.
    In sifter, put flour, sugar, baking powder and salt.
    In large bowl, place cut up nuts, dates and cherries.
    Sift flour mixture and spread evenly in pan.
    Bake 1 3/4 hours or until cake tester inserted in center comes out clean. Cool.
    Wrap in aluminum foil and refrigerate.
    Keeps 5 to 6 weeks.
