Fried Corn - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    10 - 12 ears corn
    1/3 cup bacon drippings
    1 tsp sugar
    Salt to taste
    Pepper to taste
    Water
Preparation
    Cut the kernels off the cobs with a sharp knife being careful not to cut too close to cob.
    Melt bacon drippings in a skillet; add corn and saute lightly for about 10 minutes.
    Scrape the milk from each cob into the skillet.
    Add sugar, salt and pepper.
    Cover with just enough water to cover corn and cook for about 25 minutes.
