Hot Biscuits - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. flour
    3 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. salt
    1/4 c. shortening
    7/8 c. milk (1 c. minus 2 Tbsp.)
Preparation
    Heat oven to 450\u00b0.
    Sift together the flour, baking powder and salt.
    Cut or rub shortening into flour mixture until particles are as fine as coarse crumbs.
    Add milk and stir in with a fork.
    Turn dough out onto lightly floured board or pastry cloth and knead just until smooth.
    Roll dough out to about 1/2 inch thickness and cut with a floured cutter.
    Place biscuits on slightly greased baking sheet.
    Bake 10 o 12 minutes.
