Meringue For Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 c. water
1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
1 Tbsp. cornstarch
8 Tbsp. sugar
3 egg whites
Preparation

Combine water, cornstarch and 2 tablespoons sugar; mix well. Cook until thick.
Set aside to cool.
Beat egg whites with cream of tartar until stiff.
Add remaining sugar and beat stiff.
Add cold custard mixture; fold in well.
Spread on pie.
Bake at 350\u00b0 to brown.
