Pineapple Pudding * - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 can crushed pineapple
    2 boxes vanilla wafers
    2 eggs, beaten separately
    1 c. white sugar
    1 Tbsp. butter
    1 c. boiling water
    1 c. pineapple juice
    2 Tbsp. cornstarch or flour
Preparation
    Mix sugar, cornstarch, juice and boiling water.
    Cook until thick.
    Add egg yolks and butter.
    Put a layer of vanilla wafers into dish, then a layer of pineapple, then sauce.
    Repeat layers in this order.
    Whipped cream can be used instead of meringue.
