Herring Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (16 oz.) jar herring in wine
    1/2 c. beets, sliced
    1/2 c. dill pickle, chopped
    1 medium apple, chopped
    1 medium onion, chopped
    1 c. sour cream
Preparation
    Drain herring; cut into small pieces.
    Add all other ingredients; mix well.
    Refrigerate for several hours.
    Serves 5 to 6 people.
