Toad-In-The-Hole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. flour
    2 eggs
    1 c. milk
    1/2 tsp. salt
    freshly ground black pepper
    1 lb. small pork sausages
Preparation
    Mix and blend flour, eggs, milk and seasonings to make smooth creamy batter.
    Refrigerate about 1 hour.
    Preheat oven to 400\u00b0. Prick sausage; cook in heavy covered skillet to which 2 tablespoons of water have been added for about 2 minutes.
    Remove cover and continue cooking until water has evaporated and sausage turns brown.
