Pastry - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. self-rising flour
    1 1/4 c. shortening
    1 egg
    2/3 c. ice water
    1 Tbsp. vinegar
Preparation
    Cut shortening into flour until fine.
    Beat egg and add vinegar, while stirring briskly.
    Add about 2/3 cup ice water. Mix the ingredients together until a soft dough (may need more water).
    Let chill until the next day or several hours.
    Roll out into assorted pie pans.
    May freeze some until needed.
