Chocolate Nut Krispies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    1 c. light corn syrup
    2 c. chunky peanut butter
    2 Tbsp. margarine
    5 c. Rice Krispies cereal
    1 (12 oz. )pkg. semi-sweet chocolate chips
    1/2 c. chopped peanuts
Preparation
    In a 3-quart saucepan, combine sugar and syrup.
    Cook and stir over medium heat for 5 minutes to dissolve sugar.
    Remove from heat.
    Blend in peanut butter and margarine.
    Stir in rice cereal. Spread into a 13 x 9-inch pan.
    Set aside.
    In heavy saucepan, melt chocolate chips over low heat.
    Spread melted chocolate over cereal mixture.
    Sprinkle with chopped peanuts.
    Chill bars for 1 hour, or until topping is firm.
