Granny'S Divinity - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 c. sugar
1/2 c. light corn syrup
1/2 c. cold water
2 egg whites
1 tsp. vanilla
nuts, chopped (any type, any amount)
Preparation

Place sugar, corn syrup and water in pan over low heat.
Stir until sugar is dissolved, then cook to soft ball.
In a bowl, beat egg whites until stiff.
Pour 1/2 of cooked syrup mixture over egg whites and continue to beat.
Cook the other half of syrup mixture until hard ball and then add gradually to the syrup and egg white mixture.
Add vanilla.
Beat until thick enough to drop from spoon.
Add nuts and drop on wax paper.
