Chili Con Carne - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/2 lb. hamburger
2 Tbsp. oil
1 medium onion, chopped
1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
1 (1 lb.) can kidney beans
1 Tbsp. chili powder
1/2 tsp. hot pepper sauce
3/4 c. water (more as needed)
Preparation

Brown hamburger in oil.
Add onion; cook until tender.
Add tomato sauce, tomato paste, kidney beans, chili powder and hot pepper sauce.
Mix in 3/4 cup water.
Cover; simmer for 2 1/2 hours or more, until meat is tender.
Add more water as needed. Makes 6 to 8 servings.
(May omit oil.)
