Date Nut Balls - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 sticks margarine
    1 c. light brown sugar
    1 c. dark brown sugar
    1 lb. dates, chopped
    1 can coconut
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2 c. chopped nuts
    4 c. Rice Krispies
Preparation
    Melt margarine.
    Add sugar and chopped dates; cook 6 minutes. Add 2 teaspoons water to make light balls.
    Stir in coconut.
    Take off stove.
    Add vanilla and the chopped nuts.
    Cool a little and add Rice Krispies.
    Form into small balls and roll in powdered sugar.
    Makes 12 dozen balls.
