French Bread(For Bread Machine) - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 pkg. yeast
3 c. bread flour
2 Tbsp. sugar
1 tsp. salt
2 Tbsp. butter (sweet give the most authentic taste)
1 c. less 1 Tbsp. hot water
2 stiffly beaten egg whites
1 Tbsp. water (optional)
dash of salt (optional)
1/4 tsp. cornstarch (optional)
sesame or poppy seed (optional)
Preparation

Ingredients should all be at room temperature (except water). Whip the whites until stiff and set aside.
In the order listed, place the first 6 ingredients in the bread machine pan; select \"French bread\" and push \"start.\"
Once all ingredients are moist, dump in the egg whites.
If you choose, lightly brush the top with a mixture of the optional water, salt and cornstarch and sprinkle with sesame or poppy seed after the second mixing is over.
