Golden Almond Bars - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pkg. yellow cake mix
    1/3 c. butter or margarine, softened
    1 c. ground almonds
    1 c. powdered sugar
    1 tsp. almond extract
    4 egg whites
    1/2 c. chopped almonds
Preparation
    Heat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Grease 13 x 9-inch pan.
    In large bowl, combine cake mix and butter at low speed until crumbly.
    Reserve 1/2 cup crumbs for topping.
    Press remaining crumbs into bottom of prepared pan.
