Mincemeat Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 c. sugar
1 c. butter
3 eggs
2 c. flour
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. cloves
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. mincemeat
1 c. nuts

Preparation

Cream butter and sugar; add beaten eggs.
Sift dry ingredients together and add alternately with 1/2 cup buttermilk.
Add the mincemeat and the nuts.
Bake in 2 layers in a 375\u00b0 oven.
Frost with Caramel Frosting.
