1-2-3-4 Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. shortening (2 sticks oleo)
1 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
4 eggs, separated
2 c. sugar
3 c. flour
3 tsp. baking powder
Preparation

Cream shortening and sugar.
Add beaten egg yolks.
Beat well. Add flour and baking powder alternately with milk.
Add vanilla. Fold in stiffly beaten egg whites.
Bake in tube pan at 325\u00b0 for 1 hour and 10 minutes.
(Can also be baked in two 9-inch round or square layers.)
