York Family Dinner Rolls - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 pkg. yeast
1/4 c. warm water
1/4 c. sugar
3/4 c. scalded milk
1 tsp. salt
1 egg
1/4 c. shortening
3 1/2 c. flour
Preparation

Stir yeast into warm water.
Add sugar, cooled milk, salt, egg, shortening and 2 cups flour.
Beat until smooth.
Beat in enough flour (about 1 1/2 cups) to make dough handle easily. Knead until smooth, about 5 minutes.
Place in greased bowl, turning to grease top.
Cover with cloth.
Let rest until doubled. Punch down and shape into rolls; let rise, covered.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 12 to 15 minutes on greased sheet.
