Whiskey Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. raisins
    2 1/2 c. water
    1/2 c. butter or shortening
    3/4 c. sugar
    3 egg yolks, beaten
    1 tsp. soda
    2 shots whiskey
    2 c. flour
    raisins
    1 c. nuts
    3 egg whites, beaten
Preparation
    Boil raisins in water. Let cool. Save 1 cup juice that raisins were boiled in. Cream butter or shortening with sugar. Add beaten egg yolks to shortening mixture. Add soda and whiskey to raisin juice. Mix with shortening mixture. Add flour, raisins and nuts. Fold in egg whites. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 40 minutes.
